Bug reports that become monday.com items with their proof
Notarus creates a monday.com item from a bug report with confirmed screenshots and screen recordings added to an update. The update links to the Notarus ticket for available replay, logs and browser context. The Notarus pipeline maps onto groups on the board you choose, and moving items between mapped groups updates ticket status in both directions.

What reaches monday.com
-
Item name and update. The report title and body, with the reporter's steps to reproduce.
-
Files. The annotated screenshot, and the screen recording when the reporter made one.
-
Source page. The report’s page URL; captured browser and viewport details remain on the linked Notarus ticket.
-
Ticket backlink. The Notarus ticket links authorized teammates to the available replay, console and network evidence.
-
Board group. Pipeline stages map to board groups. Moving an item between mapped groups updates its ticket, and moving the ticket moves the item.
How Notarus and monday.com fit together
monday.com boards organize items into groups, and those groups are what this integration uses for workflow. A board might have groups called New reports, In progress and Ready for review, while another uses an entirely different arrangement. Notarus reads the groups that actually exist on the board you choose rather than assuming a fixed workflow or reading a status column.
An admin maps the Notarus pipeline onto those board groups. Moving a Notarus ticket moves its monday.com item into the mapped group, and an item moved between mapped groups moves the ticket back. Groups outside the map are left alone. This makes the board layout part of the setup: if your team uses groups for clients or months instead of progress, a status-column change alone will not synchronize the ticket.
The item’s update includes the report description, reporter and source page when supplied, plus the Notarus ticket link. Confirmed screenshots and screen recordings are added as files. A teammate follows that backlink to inspect the available replay, console output, failed requests and browser context, keeping the detailed investigation beside the original report.
monday.com is often chosen because non-technical teams find it approachable, and that is exactly the situation this integration is built for: the people reporting bugs are not engineers and should not have to describe a console error. They describe the problem and can mark the page themselves. The item gives the developer their words, confirmed media and a route back to the context Notarus captured. What was captured depends on the project’s settings and the visitor’s browser, so a text-only report can still become an item.
Common questions
Which monday.com board do reports go to?
The board chosen during setup, with pipeline stages mapped to its groups. Boards you do not connect are untouched.
What if our board groups do not match the pipeline?
Only the groups you map participate in synchronization. Moving an item into an unmapped group does not change the Notarus ticket. An admin can adjust the mapping when the board’s workflow changes.
Do reporters need a monday.com seat?
No. Reporters follow their report through the Notarus portal from a link, with no account. monday.com seats stay for the team working the items.
